One can acknowledge grace and God’s mercy, but if you’re not grateful, nothing happens. You don’t change. Gratitude is the first emotion that prompts obedience.

I’m growing more and more grateful for my position in my church. Sometimes I grow frustrated, but I realize that God’s grace has placed me where I am and I must first be grateful for my position before I’ll start following God’s will.
